challenging a decision

how can I challenge a housing register decision?

If you have applied to join the register and you disagree with a decision about your application you can request a review for any of the following reasons:

  • Not being allowed to join the register
  • Being removed from the register
  • Having your priority taken away (because you have arrears or there is another problem which is preventing you from being allowed to bid)

To request a review you need to contact homes@kennet tel 01380 724911 and explain why you want a decision reviewed. You will usually be asked to make a written appeal listing the reasons why you think the decision was wrong and send it to us within 21 days of the decision.

You can ask homes@kennet to review any other decisions about the how your housing application has been assessed and we will explain why the decisions have been made.
