| The Guinness Trust is a national
charitable housing association providing good quality rented accommodation
for people in housing need and on low incomes. From our local office in Devizes, we manage 149 properties in the Kennet area, there are one, two and three bedroom flats and two and three bedroom houses for single people, couples and families. Our sheltered housing for retired people consists of one bedroom flats and two bedroom bungalows, fitted with an emergency call system and supported by a resident manager. The Trust monitors all its lettings to ensure that no group suffers
disadvantages, and takes positive action to prevent harassment. It actively
encourages tenant involvement in the process of good housing management. |

| KASH is a registered charity, founded in
1992, which provides advice, advocacy and support for single homeless men
and women in the Kennet area. KASH has two supported houses for 16-25 year
olds, each accommodates either three men or three women. These houses
provide an opportunity for young people to develop life skills, with the
support of the project staff, with a view to moving on into independent
accommodation. |

| Kennet District Council no longer owns
Council housing in the District. All the Council's homes were transferred to
Sarsen Housing Association in 1995. However, the Council still wishes to
ensure that housing needs are met within the District and funds the
provision of new social housing. Kennet District Council helps to set the
rules for decisions about re-housing and monitors to ensure that the most
urgent needs are met first.
The Council will oversee the procedures for dealing with complaints from
applicants or any requests for a review of a decision made by the
Partnership. |

established in 1964 and now forms part of the Downland Housing Group. It

needs. The Society's objectives are to provide good quality affordable homes for those in need, to provide an efficient and caring management service, and to seek to provide a wider choice for those in housing need. Within the Kennet District Council area, the society has 27 properties in
management. These comprise a range of one, two and three bedroom houses. The
Society's properties are situated in East Grafton and Burbage. |

accommodate single people, couples, families, the elderly and people with
special needs. There are also opportunities to purchase under Shared
